Abernethy 2016 - Weaselling!
Tuesday 12th April, 2016
Abernethy Camp for the P6 & P7 pupils got off to a brilliant start with a day of weaselling. This is basically caving - in this case in an ancient boulder field near Daviot.
Weaselling is physically challenging, muddy, scary, dark in bits, pitch dark in others.... so of course they loved it! We squeezed in and out of impossible spaces and climbed up and down, in and out like of a range of amazing pre-planned routes.
After weaselling we arrived at the centre and had a huge tea - got to keep the campers happy! Tomorrow it's sailing and canoeing so we are hoping for just the right amount of wind. Abernethy rocks - and not just in the caves!
